Fishermen released
By Nirupama Subramanian
COLOMBO, SEPT. 10. Another batch of 13 Indian fishermen arrested
by Sri Lanka for trespassing into its northern waters have been
ordered released by a court in Jaffna.
They are to be handed over on Tuesday to the Indian Navy, which
will escort them back to Tamil Nadu, officials said.
With this, all 70 Indian fishermen, who were arrested by the Sri
Lankan Navy between April and August this year, would have been
repatriated to India.
