Martyr's body arriving today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, SEPT. 10. The body of Lance Naik A. Surendran of 35 Medium Regiment, who was killed in a counter-insurgency operation in Jammu and Kashmir on September 8, will be flown into Thiruvananthapuram from New Delhi tomorrow.

The body, which will arrive here by Indian Airlines Flight IC 167, will be received with full military honours, at the Air Force base at Shanghumugham. Later, it will be taken to Palivilagam, his native village in Kanyakumari district, where the cremation will take place.

Surendran is the son of Mrs. Valliyammal of Palivilagam, Kappayari, Kanyakumari.
