By Our Staff Reporter

CHENNAI, SEPT. 11. Siemens Information Systems (SISL), a leading systems integrator, has entered into strategic tie-ups with international media solution providers SAP AG, PPI, Media 360 and Omnixmedia to provide total solutions to the media industry.

The alliance will enable SISL to meet the competitive and emerging media industry through integration across heterogeneous technologies, processes and systems.

Each partner will bring their own unique strengths in the area of digitising media.

Addressing a press conference here today, Mr. A. S. Viswanathan, Director, SISL, said, the alliance would enable SISL to access both European and the U.S. markets.

These regions had a number of media companies on the lookout for effective software solutions. With these tie-ups, SISL would cover the entire gamut of media industry from core publishing to other broadcasting media segments like radio and television, thus making it a comprehensive and complete media solutions provider across all forms.

Its clientele include Malayala Manorama, The Times of India, Ananda Bazaar Patrika and Hindustan Times.

SISL's Media Solution will enable the companies to arrive at a balance between creating better products and improving customer service while drastically cutting down production costs.

The alliance will offer business and commercial processes required for the efficient management of media houses such as online integration of planning production and assembly as well as custom-built solutions for advertising circulation and addition. SISL has been providing this service to leading newspapers in Europe through Siemens Business Services.
