Bowler loses eye

HYDERABAD, SEPT. 11. In a shocking mishap, a young and upcoming bowler, the 19-year-old all-rounder, Mr. K. Kaushik, playing for the Districts XI, lost his eye when he bowled to Mr. Sudhir Wankhede of the Railways who stepped out of the crease and slammed a straight drive which Mr. Kaushik took on the left eye as he had no time to duck.
