'Hindi Fortnight' from Sept. 14

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, SEPT. 12. The State-level `Hindi Fortnight' celebrations being organised by the Kerala Hindi Prachar Sabha, Central Government offices, corporations and nationalised banks in the State would be held in the city from September 14 to 28.

Announcing this at a press conference here today, the general convener of the organising committee, Mr. M. K. Velayudhan Nair, said various programmes including an official language exhibition, cultural competitions for State and Central Government employees, students, a workshop on Official language, poetry session and cultural meet would be organised at various venues as part of the celebrations.

The inauguration of the Hindi Fortnight celebrations would be held at the Kerala Hindi Prachar Sabha hall here on September 14.

The working chairman of the Sabha, Dr. N. E. Viswanatha Iyer, also attended the press conference.
