Users' choice awards for Yahoo!
CHENNAI, SEPT. 12. PC Quest, which announced the Users' choice
awards recently, rated Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Messenger and Yahoo!
Search No.1 in India. The awards were based on the nationwide
survey of respondents by IMRB in 11 cities comprising 85 per cent
of Net users. There were 37 categories under which selections
were made, says a release.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Deepak Chandnani, Country Head,
Yahoo! said ``We are delighted to receive these awards. This
recognition is in line with the growth pattern we have recorded
in the past six months.'' On an average Yahoo is adding more than
10 lakh user registration in India every month. It now has 1.5
crore user registration from India to the network.
