Warning on veil

SRINAGAR SEPT. 13. The Lashkar-e-Jabbar (LeJ) militant outfit has warned women in J&K to observe ``purdah'' or face bullets from tomorrow. In a statement to a local newspaper a LeJ spokesman said ``from September 14 the women who are without veil will be shot at''. However, the Hurriyat Conference has asked the outfit to desist from such a measure.
