Naidu plea to help Indian victims' kin

HYDERABAD, SEPT. 13. The Chief Minister, Mr. N. Chandrababu
Naidu, has appealed to the Prime Minister, Mr. A. B. Vajpayee, to
render assistance to families of Indians who are among the
victims of carnage at the World Trade Center in New York.
In a letter to Mr. Vajpayee today, Mr. Naidu said reports
reaching here suggested that there were a large number of Indians
among the victims at the World Trade Center. ``I wish to appeal
to you to take the necessary steps for rendering assistance and
succour to the families of the hapless victims from our
country.''
