Tale of family bond
IT WAS a mixed feeling of embarrassment and delight for director
Arpudhan when producer R. B. Chowdry insisted that the title for
his new film, shooting for which is on should be ``Arpudham.''
Arpudhan has been working on the script of ``Arpudham'' for quite
sometime and is happy with the result.
The story revolves round a young man who is a spend thrift. He
wants to enjoy life with somebodyelse's money and does not heed
the advice of his family. But a drastic change occurs when he
meets a girl. A lovely house fashioned like an Ashram known as
``Krishnaveni House'' is the scene of action.
Producer turned actor Pyramid Natrajan says that the new director
has done his home work well. ``He has created some interesting
scenes and I am sure the film will be talked about mainly for its
comedy and emotional scenes. The scene before the interval and
the climax will attract mention.''
For Ragavendar Lawrence it is his first film as hero. He has
worked as a choreographer for nearly 50 films and is the second
hero in K. Balachander's 100th film, ``Parthale Paravasam''. Anu
Prabhakar who has done a dozen films in Kannada is the heroine.
The highlight of the film is the bond between the father (Pyramid
Natrajan), mother (Kalai Rani), two sons and their only daughter.
It will be an entertaining film which one can watch with his
family and enjoy,'' says the director.
The cast includes Dhamu, Kunal, Vaiyapuri, Livingston, Jennifer
(daughter of dance master Chinna) and Vijay Anand. Camera is
handled by Sree, Lawrence has choreographed dance, the lyrics are
written by Vaale music is scored by Sivashanker (who composed
music for ``Love Today'' and ``Poomagal Oorvalam''). The story,
screenplay, dialogue and direction are by Arpudhan.
