PoK training camps closed
JAMMU, SEPT. 15. Apparently fearing U.S. strikes, over 10
training camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Federally
Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) have been closed temporarily and
trainee militants have dispersed to different areas, highly-
placed Intelligence sources said here today.
``As many as 12 training camps of militants belonging to the
Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, Harkat-ul-Mujahideen, Harkat-ul-Jehadi
Islami, Tekreek-e-Jehadi-Islami, Muslim Mujahideen and Jaish-e-
Mohammad were closed down temporarily in PoK and FATA, bordering
Afghanistan,'' the sources told PTI here.
Most of the mercenaries, particularly from Afghanistan, have also
shifted to Kabul to fight on the Taliban side in case of U.S.
attacks. The sources said the pro-Pakistan, Lashkar-e-Taiba has
sent a highly-trained batch of over 500 militants to Jalalabad to
help the Taliban.
