NEC ties up with SRM Engineering

CHENNAI, SEPT. 15. The NEC Electronics, Singapore, a subsidiary
of NEC Corporation , Japan and SRM Engineering College, Chennai
today signed a memorandam of understanding (MoU) to promote
awareness and the applications of NEC's V850 family of single
chip micro-controller in India.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Yukio Sasaki, Managing Director, NEC
Electronics, Singapore, and Mr. T. R. Pachaimuthu, Chairman, SRM
Engineering College.
Mr. Yukio Sasaki, said SRM Engineering would be the first to
introduce NEC's V850 family of single chip micro-controller in
India. To facilitate its training, NEC had donated ten sets of
V853 evaluation kits with a net worth of $10,000 to the college.
He said the micro-controller could be employed for many
applications, including real time control systems such as audio-
video (including cameras and VCRs), various automobile electronic
applications, office equipment and industrial applications.
