U.S. may install King Zahir Shah

ISLAMABAD, SEPT. 16. The U.S. is planning to remove the Taliban Government by capturing Kabul and in its place install King Zahir Shah with whom it has established contact, according to diplomats here.

The plan has been initiated by a European country - a member of NATO - on which work was being done for the past several months. King Zahir Shah, who has taken refuge in Italy, has been contacted in Rome.
