Tulsidas comes to Chennai

"Tulsidas", a mono act musical, acted, written and directed by Shekhar Sen will be staged on September 19, 7.30 p.m., at the Music Academy.

Brought to Chennai by Sanskaar Events, the 120 minutes long play will trace the life and times of Tulsidas. Besides giving insights into his personal life, it also relates to some of the social reforms initiated by the ordinary man-turned-saintly poet.

Through 52 musical sequences, Sen presents with great poignance a panoramic view of the poet who penned the Ramcharitmanas in Awadhi, a distinct Hindi dialect.

Tickets to the show are available at Landmark (Nungambakkam), Gangothree (Cathedral Road), Odyssey (Adyar), Eden (Besant Nagar) and Connections (Anna Nagar). For bulk bookings and details about the play call 4331865/4356188.
