CPI-ML opposes Govt. decision to support US
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD, SEPT. 17. The Central Committee of the Communist Party
of India - Marxist Leninist (People's War) has taken exception to
the Central Government's decision to support the United States in
its effort to attack the countries sponsoring terrorism.
In a statement here, Mr. Anand, Central Committee member, said
that the anticipated war would have a severe effect on the
country if the Indian Government associated itself with the
United States.
He said the NDA Government had led the country to political and
economics chaos and it was trying to utilise this opportunity to
exonerate itself from the economic chaos. The Prime Minister, Mr.
Atal Behari Vajpayee, had already indicated the things to come in
his address. Mr. Anand urged the people to pressure the
Government to dissociate itself from the United States.
