Seeded players keep winning

KOLKATA, SEPT. 17. Seeded players, led by No. 1 Saptarshi Roy continued to dominate the second round of the 14th The Telegraph Schools' chess tournament at the Gorky Sadan here on Monday. Saptarshi Roy had little difficulty in winning against Kunal Somaiya in a Sicilian defence in 34 moves.

Somak Palit beat Sumit Shaw in the advanced variation of the French defence. Third seed Ayan Lahiri won against Arijit Sinha while Rohan Vijay Shandilya beat Chandra Sekhar Mishra. Nishikanta Misra of Bhubaneswar won against Dipayan Ghosh in 50 moves.
