Private bus strike on Sept. 25
By Our Staff Reporter
KANNUR, SEPT. 22. The All Kerala Private Bus Operators'
Federation will go on a one-day strike on Sept. 25 as part of the
agitation being planned to demand revocation of the Government's
decision to hike the tax for private buses.
The federation State president, Mr. V.J. Sebastian, told a press
conference here today that the one-day strike was being organised
as a token protest to press the demands of the operators already
submitted to the Government. If the Government refused to address
the issues, the operators would go on an indefinite strike from
October 1, he said.
