Portfolios of ministers

CHENNAI, SEPT. 22. The Chief Minister, Mr. O. Paneerselvam, has retained all major portfolios held by his predecessor, Ms. Jayalalithaa, besides Revenue Administration. The portfolios of Industries and Rural Industries have been swapped, while all other ministers were allotted the same portfolios they held in the previous Ministry. The lone new Minister, Mr. S. M. Velusamy, would hold the Housing portfolio in place of Mr. A. K. Selvaraj, who was not included in the new Cabinet.

Mr. Paneerselvam - Chief Minister - Public, General Administration, IAS, IPS and other all-India services, Home, Police, and Prevention of Corruption.

Mr. C. Ponnaiyan - Finance and Law.

Mr. M. Thambi Durai - Education.

Mr. D. Jayakumar - Electricity.

Mr. P. C. Ramasamy - HR & CE.

Mr. S. Semmalai - Health.

Mr. C. Durairaj - Local Administration.

Mr. A. Anwar Rhazza - Labour.

Mr. K. Pandurangan - Industries.

Mr. P. Dhanapal - Food & Civil Supplies and Cooperation.

Mr. N. Thalavai Sundaram - Public Works.

Mr. S. S. Thirunavukkarasu - Information & Publicity and Forests and Environment.

Mr. R. Jeevanantham - Agriculture.

Ms. R. Saroja - Tourism.

Ms. B. Valarmathi - Social Welfare.

Mr. V. Subramanian - Adi Dravidar Welfare.

Mr. S. P. Shanmuganathan - Handlooms and Textiles.

Mr. K. P. Rajendra Prasad - Fisheries.

Mr. R. Vaithilingam - Rural Industries.

Mr. C. Shanmugavelu - Dairy Development.

Mr. C. Ve. Shanmugam - Commercial Taxes.

Mr. S. M. Velusamy - Housing and Urban Development.

Mr. Nainar Nagendran - Transport.

Ms. Valarmathi Jebaraj - Backward Classes.
