'Life Savers Club' launched

HYDERABAD, SEPT. 25. The `Life Savers Club' of Apollo Hospitals
was formally launched here on Tuesday by the president of the
Blue Cross Society, Ms. Amala Akkineni.
The first batch of 100 life savers from St. Ann's College for
Women, Mehdipatnam, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Jubilee Hills, and
Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration were certified today
on completion of training.
Ms. Sangita Reddy, Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals,
Hyderabad, said it was planned to constitute a Life Savers Club
consisting of 25 to 50 students who were committed to help
accident and emergency victims in every educational institution
in the city. Mr. Pullela Gopichand, All England badminton
champion, was among those present.
The All England badminton champion, Mr. Pullela Gopichand and the
animal rights activist, Ms. Amala Akkineni, at the launch of the
`Life Savers Club' at the Apollo Hospitals on Tuesday.
