Resume the service

Sir, - When I approached the advance reservation centre at the Calicut railway station for to-and-fro reservation of sleeper berth to Bangalore in the Mangalore-Bangalore through coach of Chennai Mail, I was told that the facility had been stopped since September 10.

This facility, available to the people of north Kerala for the past 30 years or so, was very convenient for the elderly, women and children. The Railways should resume it forthwith.
