The Samajwadi Party leader, Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav, today criticised the Uttar Pradesh Government for its failure to maintain law and order in Lucknow. ``The situation in the Lok Sabha constituency of the Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee, has deteriorated to such an extent that only special measures like declaring Lucknow a disturbed area can improve the situation,'' Mr. Yadav told newspersons at his party office here.
