Roorkee varsity made IIT
NEW DELHI, SEPT. 26. Roorkee University has been designated as an
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) by the President who
promulgated an ordinance. With the addition of Roorkee
University, the country will have seven IITs.
The President promulgated the Institute of Technology (Amendment)
Ordinance 2001 early this week, an official release said.
