No hand in attacks, says Iraq

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI, SEPT. 26. The Iraqi Ambassador, Mr. Salah Al-Mukhtar, today expressed concern over attempts by American experts and media to implicate his country in the September 11 bombings. ``Iraq has absolutely nothing to do with these attacks and it has no connection with those who have been accused by the U.S.,'' he said here today.

The U.S. attempt to nail ``a certain nation and a certain religion'' without any evidence exposes its intention to complete its ``unfinished agenda'' of liquidating countries and circles who refuse to toe its line.

Pointing out that the U.S. was the main proponent of terrorism in recent times, the Ambassador felt the American intention to remove global terrorism should be preceded by a clear definition of the term. It should not be defined according to the perception of the U.S. but within the framework of the U.N. because this body is authorised by all the nations to deal with such issues.
