Two file papers for Mayoral poll

CHENNAI, SEPT. 26. Three nominations were received from two
candidates for Mayor on Wednesday, while 20 others filed papers
for councillors' posts. All the nominees were Independents.
A Corporation release said Mr. K.Rajan, an Independent aspirant
for Mayor, filed two nominations. The other candidate was Mr. M.
S. Marisamy.
This takes the tally of Mayoral candidates to five and
contestants for councillors' posts to 30.
