Dacoits loot train
NEW DELHI, SEPT. 27. Armed dacoits struck the Puri Express near
Ghaziabad, injuring 11 passengers, a Northern Railway spokesman
said here tonight.
The dacoits, who had boarded the train at New Delhi, pulled the
chain in a sleeper coach near Tankor at around 6.50 p.m. and
stopped it, he said.
They attacked some of the passengers with knives and went away
with their belongings, the spokesman said without giving any
further details.
The train resumed its journey after the injured passengers were
treated at Khurja.
