Literary feast
THE `KAVI Kamban festival', organised by Kamban Kazhagam at
Rajapalayam last week, to celebrate its 22nd anniversary, was
marked by a series of literary debates, poetry sessions and
various competitions.
Mr. Kambar Raman presided over the function. Mr. M. V. Bhimaraja,
industrialist, distributed the prizes to the winners of
`Kambaramayana' competition.Special lectures on `Kamban
Kaviyazhagu' by Ms. Selvanayagi of Coimbatore and `Kambar
Vaazhviyal Sinthanaigal' by Ms. Ilambirai Manimaran from
Tuticorin, were also organised.
Mr. N. S. Muthukrishna Raja, General Secretary of the Kazhagam,
welcomed the gathering. Mr. K. M. Kothandam proposed a vote of
thanks.
