In hot pursuit: Bush
WASHINGTON, SEPT. 28. The U.S. President, Mr. George W. Bush,
today said the United States was ``in hot pursuit'' of the
authors of the September 11 terror strikes on the World Trade
Center and Pentagon.
``Make no mistake about it: we're in hot pursuit,'' he said amid
reports that U.S. Special Forces had been searching for Osama bin
Laden, whom Mr. Bush has blamed for the attacks, in Afghanistan.
``We are going to be patient and diligent and determined to bring
people to justice and to root out terrorist activity around the
world,'' he said as he met with Jordan's King, Abdullah II.
