Lucknow killings condemned
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD, SEPT. 28. The National Congress of Indian Christians
has condemned the killings at Lucknow.
In a statement here on Friday, the president of the youth wing of
the organisation, Mr. C.A. Daniel, however, said, banning an
organisation which incited people in the name of religion was
``laudable''. In the same vein, outfits like Bhajrang Dal and RSS
should also be banned, he said.
Meanwhile, the A.P. unit of Hindu Vahini has appealed to all
sections of people to unitedly rally behind the Government of
India in safeguarding national interests, following the terrorist
attacks in the United States.
In a statement on Friday, Mr. K. Trivikrama Rao, regional
organising secretary, said the Government policies must be guided
by the sole motive of protecting national integrity at a time
when war-clouds were hanging over the region.
At this juncture, people should avoid acting in a manner which
would hurt the sentiments of any section.
