By Our Staff Reporter
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, SEPT. 28. A Web site containing
comprehensive information about Thiruvananthapuram district will
be launched soon, said a press release here today.
With the commissioning of the site, any person from anywhere in
the world can access the various types of information about the
district, its problems, various projects being undertaken and
then if he or she so wishes can contribute to the process of
development. The site will act as a sort of single window
interaction platform for the district.
Non-Resident Indians or foreigners who wish to start industries
or set up projects can seek and get clearance through the web
site within 30 days. The site will contain comprehensive
information about the district's history, development potential,
biological resources, geographical specialities, cultural wealth,
potential for tourism, infrastructure facilities, human resources
and details about the State-administrative set-up.
The web site is being designed as per the initiative of the
District Collector, Mr. K.R. Jyothilal, the release added.
