Blame the creator

Sir, - Who is more dangerous - Frankenstein or its creator? We are all blaming Osama bin Laden for the September 11 carnage. But are we not missing the bigger picture. It was the U.S. and its policies in the 1980s that created Osama. Now if the monster attacks the creator, it is doing what it was created for - destruction. Thus there is no point in blaming the monster alone. Let the creator admit to its follies. For the ``modern coalition'' to live up to its purpose, the U.S. will have to lead by example by removing fundamental causes such as its double- entendre policies and prejudices for the benefit of humanity.
