Govt. line is right

Sir, - Mr. Muchkund Dubey's analysis of the global campaign (Sept. 26) is based on a clear perception of the dangers of terrorism. What appears to be a divide between the U.S. and terrorists is really a divide between humanism and terrorism. The stand of the Government of India to cast its lot with the U.S., notwithstanding growing U.S.-Pakistan collaboration, must be appreciated.

Stamping out cross-border terrorism is the surest means of safeguarding the innocent people of Kashmir and protecting our national integrity. It needs hardly to be pointed out that diplomacy is a better alternative to war even against terrorism.

G. Raghava Reddy,

Tirupati
