Grand double for MSSWB College

MADURAI, SEPT. 28. M.S.S. Wakf Board College, (MSSWB College) Madurai created history in the Madurai Kamaraj University athletics by winning both the men's and women's overall titles, and that too with distinction, in the 36th annual Athletic meet held at Madurai Police Centenary Stadium here on Friday.

The College won the men's overall title for the 15th year in succession with a tally of 69 points and retained the Annabathi Shield and the women's title for the first year with a tally of 55 points to lift the Sister Annunciate Shield.

Incidentally this was the first time that a college in this University had won both the men's and women's overall titles in 36 years.

Dr.Sathiah, Director of Physical Education, MKU welcomed the gathering. Mr.Sadasivam proposed a vote of thanks.
