Instinct foretold death?
NEW DELHI, SEPT. 30. The senior Congress leader, Mr. Madhavrao
Scindia, had a premonition about today's crash which claimed his
life, according to the general secretary of the Communist Party
of India (Marxist), Mr. Harkishen Singh Surjeet.
Discussing his trip to Kanpur to address a rally with the CPI(M)
leader yesterday, Mr. Scindia had referred to the increasing
number of aircraft accidents. ``Even air journeys are no longer
safe and one has to carefully choose an aircraft,'' Mr. Scindia
had told Mr. Surjeet.
Mr. Scindia's death was a grave loss for the Congress, Mr.
Surjeet said.
