Why not the Shiv Sena?

Sir, - Finally, the Union Home Ministry has banned the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) for two years and listed its various activities, including its alleged connections with international terrorist groups. The ban is welcome. The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister has demanded a similar ban on the Bajrang Dal, branding it a fundamentalist grouping. The Shiv Sena too falls under this label. Recently, a 400-bed private hospital was destroyed by Shiv Sena activists for a flimsy reason and no action of any sort was taken. The vicious voice of the Shiv Sena against the Muslims is well-known. When SIMI is banned, why not the violent Shiv Sena face similar action?

M.S. Janakiraman,
