RJD caution against supporting U.S.
PATNA, SEPT. 30. The ruling Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar
cautioned the Centre against joining United States in its ``so-
called'' global war against terrorism and said it would only
increase terrorism globally.
The RJD's national spokesperson and a senior Minister in Rabri
Devi cabinet, Mr. Shivanand Tiwari, told UNI that the probable
attack of America on Afghanistan would be an ``injustice.'' For,
it would abet terrorism all over the world. The `war' might work
like a catalyst in spreading terrorism in the world, he opined.
Mr. Tiwari said it was America which nurtured terrorism in the
world. He alleged that today's most wanted terrorist Osama Bin
Laden and Taliban against whom the Bush administration was
gearing up were the gift of America to the world.
The Minister charged America with being selfish and said it would
never recognise the domestic terrorism India was facing.
He blamed the Centre for acting in haste and asked it to adopt
``wait and watch'' policy since Pakistan was acting
diplomatically on the matter.
Though America needed moral support from India to fight terrorism
globally, it had no interest with the terrorist activities going
on here.
Mr. Tiwari said India should carefully decide its role keeping in
mind the sequences of events taking place in Pakistan and
Kashmir.
Regarding trans-border terrorism in Kashmir, he said India and
Pakistan can only solve this problem through joint efforts.
He said the problem was a bilateral one and can be resolved
through proper dialogue.
