PM greets Khaleda

NEW DELHI, OCT. 3. The Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee,
has congratulated the Bangladesh National Party (BNP) leader, Ms.
Khaleda Zia, for her party's landslide victory in the national
elections and expressed India's desire to promote relations with
Dhaka.
Pointing to the shared links of geography, history and culture
between India and Bangladesh, he said, ``I would like to assure
you of my Government's continued commitment to further enriching
this relationship. I look forward to working with you to promote
Indo-Bangladesh co-operation for the progress and prosperity of
our peoples.''
