Islamabad, Oct. 4. On the eve of the working visit of the British Prime Minister, Mr. Tony Blair, Pakistan today declared that the material provided by the U.S. certainly provided ``sufficient basis for indictment'' of Osama Bin Laden for his alleged involvement in the September 11 attacks.

New U.S. list likely today

An indication of how serious the Bush administration views terrorism in the context of the Indian sub- continent, especially in relation to Jammu and Kashmir, could come as early as tomorrow when the State Department is expected to come out with its ``list'' of foreign terrorist organisations.

PM upset over handling of 'hijack'
New Delhi, Oct. 4.With embarrassment writ large on its face over the so-called hijacking of the Alliance Air flight from Mumbai to Delhi late last night, the Government today ordered a high-level probe, headed by the Special Secretary in the Home Ministry, Mr. S. B. Mahapatra, into the incident.

Ahmedabad, Oct. 4. The Ahmedabad airport authorities have denied that the Air Traffic Control (ATC) sent any message to the pilot of the Mumbai-Delhi Alliance Air flight about the alleged hijacking.

Tearful farewell to Scindia
Gwalior, Oct. 4. The country's top political leadership, friends, relatives, industrialists, heads of former princely states and thousands of admirers in and around Gwalior today converged at the Chatri grounds here to bid farewell to Madhavrao Scindia. With a prayer on their lips and heads bowed, they watched his son Mr. Jyotiraditya perform the last rites, not far from the spot where nine months ago Scindia performed the last rites for his mother.

Russian plane crashes into sea
Moscow, Oct. 4. A terrorist bomb is feared to have caused a Russian passenger plane, with 76 people on board, to plunge into the Black Sea today, Russian security sources said. The three- engine TU-154 belonging to a Siberian airline was on a chartered flight from Tel Aviv to Novosibirsk in Siberia when it burst into flames and fell into the sea, 180 km off the Russian coast.

Chandigarh, Oct. 4. In yet another incident of sacrilege, some unidentified persons today burnt a holy book at a place of worship in Punjab's Ropar district, police sources said.

Visit put off
Moscow, Oct. 4. The Russian vice premier, Mr. Ilya Klebanov has postponed his three- day visit to India, scheduled to begin on Sunday, owing to delay in recovery of the sunken nuclear submarine ``Kursk'', the NTV channel reported.
