TCS partners UTI for business process re-engineering

MUMBAI, OCT. 5. Unit Trust of India has decided to appoint Tata
Consultancy Services (TCS) as its partner in its new initiatives
involving multi dependencies.
These multi dependencies relate to complete business process re-
engineering, redefining customer friendly front office functions
and creation of centralised back office with necessary hardware,
software, and skilled IT staff supporting all the branch offices
with network connectivity.TCS is involved in design and
development of the generic software aimed at providing sales and
after-sales services to the existing and future unitholders.
The network connecting all the zonal/branch offices of UTI with
the central data centre is expected to become operational by
October 15 and the generic software is expected to go live in
December.
