Musharraf's term as COAS extended

ISLAMABAD, OCT. 6 The term of the Pakistan President, Gen. Pervez
Musharraf, as the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) is believed to have
been extended till further orders. However, there was no official
confirmation of the report.
Gen. Musharraf's term as COAS was due to expire today and he had
announced a few months ago that he had no intention to step down
till the completion of the general elections scheduled for
October next year.
