CM's signature forged by land-grabbers
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD, OCT. 6. Nothing seems to be an insurmountable task for
the unscrupulous elements who grab government lands in Rangareddy
district. This time some alleged land grabbers have even forged
the signature of the Chief Minister, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, to
stake claim for 240 acres of land in Khajaguda village of the
Serilingampally municipality.
The Rangareddy police who swung into action on being alerted
about the forgery of the CM's signature nabbed two persons
allegedly responsible for the forgery. Efforts were being made to
nab 20 others who were believed to be the part of the conspiracy
to grab the 240 acre land.
According to an official press release issued here on Saturday,
the police found two more documents purported to have been issued
by Rangareddy district administration sanctioning succession and
mutation in favour of Esa Bin Nazar, Ali Bin Saleh and others.
The two arrested were M. Satyanarayana of Ramanthapur and Yadi
Reddy of Ghatkesar.
The press release said the gangsters forged documents to stake
claim for lands in survey numbers 27/1, 28, 39, 40,17, 5, 20/1,
23, 2, 7/1, 34 and 161 admeasuring 240 acres in Khajaguda
village. They allegedly created documents of the proceedings of
the Joint Collector of Rangareddy district vide proceedings No
E1/2154/97 and E1/5372/97 dt 30-07-2001 sanctioning succession
and mutation in favour of Ali Bin Saleh and others and also Esa
Bin Nazar.
The second document vide Lr. No. 01/2384/99 dated 25-08-99 had a
forged signature of DRO; of Rangareddy district addressed to the
Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister stating that a
decision had been taken to implement the court decrees. The third
document created by the accused persons was the `note' by the
Chief Minister to his Additional Secretary stating that `action
may be taken to implement the court decree in OS No. 414/884 as
it is at an early date'.
All the three documents were found to be fake on verification and
following a complaint by the MRO of Serilingampally a case was
registered in the Raidurgam police station and investigation
taken up. The press release cautioned the public not to enter
into any sale agreement without verifying from the collectorate
about any land.
