Ganguly asks for Zaheer Khan
JOHANNESBURG, OCT. 7. India's captain Sourav Ganguly has
requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)
President, Mr. Jagmohan Dalmiya to review the physical fitness of
left arm seamer Zaheer Khan and fly him to South Africa at the
earliest should he be declared fit.
Following the request from the Indian captain, Khan is likely to
be asked to appear for a fitness test before Dr. Anant Joshi in
Mumbai.
Ganguly made a special request to Mr. Dalmiya when the latter
telephoned him to congratulate him for his fine century against
South Africa at `The Wandreres' on Friday.
