BAI's doubles camp from tomorrow

BANGALORE, OCT. 8. The Badminton Association of India (BAI) has
finally woke up to the importance of doubles and in a significant
step has proposed to organise an exclusive doubles camp at SAI
(South) Centre in Kengeri from October 10.
The month-long camp will be supervised by the one of the Sidek
brothers, Rasif Sidek of Malaysia, a former World doubles
champion. Sidek will be assisted by Vinod Kumar.
According to Mr. S. S. Mani, the BAI Secretary, depending on the
success of the camp at Kengeri, two more such camps will be
conducted by the BAI before the Commonwealth Games.
BAI has short-listed the following players for the camp
Men: Jose George, Ajit Wijetilak, Mitesh Hazarish, Mayur
Ghatnekar, Ail Voka, Joseph Chisti, Nanda Kumar Singh, V. Diju,
Sanave Thomas, Bhaskar Bora, J. V. S. Vidhyadhar, Arvind Bhat and
Rupesh Kumar.
Women: G. Jwala, Fathima and Oli Deka.
