Humpy in joint second spot
HYDERABAD, OCT. 8. World junior chess champion Koneru Humpy
shared the second spot at the end of the second round in the
First Saturday Grandmasters chess tournament in Budapest,
according to information received here on Monday.
In the first round Humpy, playing black, drew with GM Kosanovic
Goran of Yugoslavia. In the second the Bank of Baroda- sponsored
girl, playing white, clinched the issue comfortably against WGM
Dembo Yelena of Hungary.
The Vijayawada girl will now play Husari Satea of Syria in the
third round.
