Family quarrel leads to woman's death

CHENNAI, OCT. 9. A quarrel between a husband and wife over family expenses at Avadi led to the latter's death on Monday.

The police arrested the husband Sivaraman (45). According to the police, Sivaraman had given some cash to his wife Vedhavalli a couple of days back before he went out of station.

On his return, he demanded Vedhavalli to tell him how the money was spent. A quarrel ensued and in a fit of rage, Sivaraman attacked Vedhavalli with a scissor. She died at the hospital later.
