Schroeder coming this month

NEW DELHI, OCT. 12. India and Germany today exchanged notes on
the latest developments in Afghanistan, and took stock of the
direction in which the war against terrorism was proceeding.
These discussions - which took place as part of the Indo-German
strategic dialogue - are likely to finetune the agenda of the
visit of the German Chancellor, Mr. Gerhard Schroeder, this
month-end.
The Indian side was led by the Foreign Secretary, Ms. Chokila
Iyer, while the German delegation was headed by her counterpart,
Mr. Juergen Chrobog.
Soon after Mr. Schroeder's visit, the Prime Minister, Mr. Atal
Behari Vajpayee, will leave for Moscow. The Russian Deputy Prime
Minister, Mr. Ilya Klebanov, is arriving here on Sunday.
Mr. Klebanov will be meeting the President, Mr. K.R. Narayanan,
the Prime Minister, Mr. A.B. Vajpayee, the External Affairs
Minister, Mr. Jaswant Singh, the Finance Minister, Mr. Yashwant
Sinha, and the National Security Adviser, Mr. Brajesh Mishra.
