Terrorism leads nowhere
Sir, - I watched with horror and disgust the latest act of
terrorism perpetrated by the Jaish-e-Mohammad in Srinagar on
October 1. It brought back the spectre of September 11 to my
mind. This act has exposed once again the hypocrisy of Pakistan
which agrees to fight against the Taliban - the monster it
created - as part of the U.S.-led coalition, and at the same
time, sponsors terrorist attacks.
The Indian Muslims cannot remain spectators of the spiralling
violence in Kashmir. It is time they told their brothers and
sisters in Kashmir that terrorism in the name of Islam will not
get them anywhere.
