Bath boutiques are here
Gone are the days when bathrooms were relegated to the backyard.
With speciality shops (bath boutiques!) entering the market with
designer accessories and fittings, the once-stark, clinical rooms
are gradually evolving into luxury suites, where one can freshen
up, read, exercise, listen to music or simply unwind.
Shop talking instantly leads us to the Jaquar Orientation Centre
that was opened in the city recently. An orientation centre? For
bathrooms... ? The old-timer might ask. Well... The centre
actually helps shoppers touch and feel the "futuristic" bath and
shower products besides stylish accessories from Jaquar.
Precisely, a one-stop destination for those planning chic
bathrooms.
According to Mr. N.L.Mehra, chairman, Jaquar, "The centre marks
the beginning of an ongoing interface with customers. It will
also help architects, interior designers, professionals from the
bathware industry and plummers with a host of programmes."
Just saunter round the swank showroom, nay orientation centre,
and you will be struck by the stunning fusion of technology and
aesthetics. The product portfolio ranges from the ostentatious
Rendezvous (Swarovski crystal embellished collection) to the
technically refined Jaquar senor taps that switch on and off
automatically.
That bathrooms are no longer shy of colour is reflected in the
collection (the Angel line for instance) that comes in hues
ranging from burgundy to flaming gold. The fittings come in well-
coordinated sets - for washbasins, bath and shower and toilet
flush. Also available are matching accessories such as towel
rack, towel ring, soap dish etc.
For those keen on keeping the bathrooms dry, there is a versatile
range of walk-in shower temples with multiple features (with
world famous Hansgrohe). The snazzy display of shower
panels/columns with halogen lights, electronic thermostat etc are
just right for those who are indulgent when it comes to planning
bathrooms.
Another attraction here is the range of chandeliers with Strass
Swarovski crystals in sleek styles and flawless finish (the base
is 24-carat gold-plated). Chandeliers can also be custom made to
suit varied tastes.
From spartan to sybaritic... bathrooms have come a long way. And
business does meet pleasure at the Jaquar centre.
