PM should have waited

Sir, - The re-induction of Mr. George Fernandes defies all democratic norms. Mr. Fernandes should have shown some basic decency before accepting the post. It is not clear if he has been exonerated or not. The Venkataswami Commission has not completed its findings. The haste with which the whole matter is settled, smacks of crass favouritism with no sense of shame. Mr. Fernandes is guilty of everything that went from bad to worse when he was at the helm.

Mr. Vajpayee should have waited till the Venkataswami Commission pronounced the NDA convener innocent.

K. Muralidharan,

Palakkad
