BSP MLAs resign

LUCKNOW, OCT. 17. Opposition BSP MLAs today joined the Samajwadi Party and Congress in resigning en masse from the Uttar Pradesh Assembly to press for early elections even as the Chief Minister, Mr. Rajnath Singh, ruled out an early dissolution of the House before the expiry of its term in March next.

Meanwhile, the CEC, Mr. J.M. Lyngdoh, said in Dehradun that the elections would be held in U.P simultaneously with Uttaranchal and Punjab before March next.
