Results on Oct. 22

CHENNAI, OCT. 17. Counting of votes for the local bodies
elections would begin on the October 21 (Sunday) and all results
would be declared on the evening of October 22, the State
Election Commissioner, Mr. P. S. Pandyan, said today.
He said the newly-elected representatives would take charge on
October 25.
The second phase of polling would be held tomorrow and the
repolling for the booths for which elections were held yesterday
would be conducted on October 19. If there were any untoward
incidents in any booths during the second phase, repolling would
be held on October 20.
