The Samajwadi Party today expelled Mr. Ramakant Yadav, representing Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh constituency in the Lok Sabha from its primary membership for indulging in ``anti- party activities''. The decision was announced by the party general secretary, Mr. Amar Singh, here. He said the SP was in the process of weeding out ``anti-social elements'' from the outfit. whose presence has tarnished the party's image. The charge has been disputed by Mr. Yadav.
