Samajwadi MP expelled

NEW DELHI, OCT. 20. The Samajwadi Party today expelled Mr.
Ramakant Yadav, representing Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh
constituency in the Lok Sabha from its primary membership for
indulging in ``anti- party activities''.
The decision was announced by the party general secretary, Mr.
Amar Singh, here.
He said the SP was in the process of weeding out ``anti-social
elements'' from the outfit. whose presence has tarnished the
party's image. The charge has been disputed by Mr. Yadav.
